In the serene town of Piran, Slovenia, something exciting was brewing from November 14th to 16th this year. Partners from diverse European organizations representing countries such as Denmark, Norway, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Slovenia came together for a remarkable event. Hosted by the International School for Social and Business Studies, the partners were part of an innovative project called ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ+ ๐๐-๐๐ซ๐๐ฐ, co-funded by the European Union. This meeting was no ordinary gathering; it was a catalyst for change, focused on empowering small businesses with advanced recruitment methodologies. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the details of this transformative event and the exciting plans that lie ahead.
Empowering Small Businesses: The Mission
At the heart of this gathering was a shared mission: “The Innovative Framework for European Small Businesses to Excel in Recruiting.” This mission aims to equip small businesses with cutting-edge recruitment strategies that enhance their competitiveness and operational efficiency. The partners had been working tirelessly, engaging in months of meticulous collaboration to create a highly sophisticated training curriculum. This curriculum is designed to empower CEOs and business leaders with the expertise needed to execute precise and impactful recruitment strategies.
Meet the Training Sessions
On the first day of the event, attendees participated in a series of engaging training sessions. These sessions covered crucial topics, including:
- Setting up a streamlined hiring process: Participants gained insights into optimizing their recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promoting health and well-being in the workplace: The importance of creating a healthy work environment was explored, benefitting both employees and businesses.
- Developing a refined ability to define internal social responsibility policies: Ethical practices in hiring were emphasized, ensuring businesses contribute positively to society.
- Strategically enhancing employer branding through the creation of a Company DNA: Attendees learned how to align their company’s values with their branding strategies.
Preparing for the Future: The Digital Assessment Tool (DAT)
One of the highlights of the event was the discussions about the development of the VET Trainer Guide and Self-Assessment Tool. These tools are essential components of the project’s outputs, designed to aid in training and self-assessment.
Exploring Slovenia: Beyond the Meeting
The activities in Slovenia were not confined to meeting rooms. Partners had the opportunity to explore the charming city of Koper and visit the Institute for Education and Research M-Aleja Koper. During this visit, Dr. Alenka Malej, the company’s owner, hosted an interactive session focused on digital skills for SMEs and LEGO robotics, underlining the importance of technological knowledge and skills for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Looking Ahead to 2024
The excitement doesn’t end with this meeting. In 2024, a pilot program will be launched, granting access to the training materials and online courses, as well as offering face-to-face sessions. The RE-CREW project is brimming with innovation, offering a wide range of tools to support SMEs in addressing their daily challenges. This initiative promises to be a game-changer for small businesses across Europe.
